Raul Ruben Rendon

Retired Marine PFC, Raul Ruben Rendon, born in Dilley, Texas on September 14, 1928, was called home to be with the Lord, on January 28, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elvia G. Rendon, sisters Alma R. Vergara, Freya Mirta Rendon Garcia and parents Romana & Trinidad B. Rendon. Raul was a very proud veteran of the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Presidential Unit Citation and Purple Heart. Raul was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children; Raul Rendon Jr. (Anita), Robert Rendon (Yvonne), Rosanna Rendon, grandchildren; Mark, Elyse, Justin, Gianna and brother Trinidad Rendon (Frances). A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 03, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
