Raul D. Tristan, Jr., entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the age of 69. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Raul and Concepcion Tristan on December 11, 1950, as the second of six children. Raul, or "Junior", as he was affectionately known, had some physical conditions that led to many surgeries and hospitalizations throughout his life. However, Junior always strived to be known for his accomplishments, which he had many, and not for his limitations. We will ultimately, always remember him for all his achievements and successes throughout his life. Raul Jr had an exceptional attitude towards life and a lifelong devotion to his Catholic faith. He had a pleasant demeanor, always looking on the bright side of things, a very distinguishable laugh and enjoyed making new friends wherever he went. Despite encountering unique challenges in his life, he was a gentle soul and rarely complained.
Raul Jr graduated high school, married the love of his life, held full-time employment, and even drove his own car before having to be confined to his wheelchair. He, his wife and his three daughters continued to fully enjoy life. He loved large family gatherings, enjoyed reading, listening to music and singing.
We’d like to thank the San Pedro Manor staff for the care provided to Raul Jr these last four years. They coordinated group outings, shopping events, restaurant opportunities, and Holiday parties that even his family participated in.
Raul is preceded in death by his father, Raul Sr. mother, Concepcion Tristan and brother-in-law, Martin Hernandez. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years of marriage, Guadalupe V. Tristan and daughters, Liana, Jessica and Alison Tristan. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Hortencia Cruz (Ruben); Rachel Martino; brothers, Daniel (Judy); Richard (Liza), Rene Tristan (Sandra) and numerous nieces and nephews.
