

He was born December 5, 1924, in Santa Rosa, California to Fay and Elsie Clarkson. Ray was a beloved husband of 65 years, and a devoted father and grandfather. He proudly served his country during World War II and Korea as a Navy fighter pilot. Ray was an alumnus of San Jose State University, was very active in his church, the Masons and the Scottish Rite and enjoyed a long and storied career in construction. He leaves a legacy of devotion, honor and integrity.
Ray is survived by his wife, Bernice V. Clarkson; daughter, Marjorie Clarkson-Saenz and husband Bob, grandchildren, Natalie Saenz Lampkin, David Saenz and Stephanie Saenz Tissot, and great-granddaughter, Cassidy Lampkin of California; sons, Richard Clarkson and wife LuAnn, grandchildren Daniel Clarkson and Megann Clarkson of Boise ID; and J.B. Clarkson and wife Leslie and granddaughter Lauren of Bulverde, TX.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
