Ray Adam Hughes

Ray A. Hughes, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on March 13, 1966, in West Virginia to Teresa Luna and Ruben Hughes. Soon after he moved to San Antonio where he was raised.

After serving a tour in the US Marine Corps, Ray spent most of his life as a professional poker player. He loved to spend his free time with family, going to the movie theater, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and exploring the city for new restaurants. One of his favorite restaurants was Garcia's which he had been going to since he was a child so he loved that he could share it with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by, his parents. Ray is survived by his sons, Dillon Ray Hughes, Matthew Ray Hughes, Ozzy Ray Hughes, and Jonathan Ray Hughes; daughter, Kaitlyn Rose Hughes; brothers, Ruben Hughes, and Richard Hughes; sister, Christin Sanchez; grandchildren, Greyson Hughes and Theodora Hughes.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232
