I'm so sorry for your lose Mrs Bailey - Raymond was a very nice man & neighbor . He was always so kind to me & my husband.  May he rest in peace & may The Lord surround you with Love & comfort during this difficult time .  Please let us know if we can help you with anything .

Me ( Clint ) and my dad ( Charlie ) met Ray in 1993 when we opened Auto Parts Experts by Palm Park. Ray was one of our first customers in the area. My fondest memories of Ray were when he would stop by the shop and bring us a bag of vegetables from his garden. Ray knew I loved pepper's so he would always bring me pepper's. A week would go by and he would stop by and I would tell Ray " If you have any more pepper's I'll take them. " He would just laugh with disbelief that I had already finished the bag of pepper's that he dropped off from the week before. Needless to say Ray would bring me another bag of pepper's. What this world needs is more people like Ray. Rest in peace Ray. You will be missed by so many.  I pray that God will bless and comfort the Bailey Family.

I met Raymond when I was about 17, where we both worked, at the old 24 hr. Mobil Service Station on IH 35 so & Military dr. We were instant friends, and I quickly became acquainted with the rest of his great family. Raymond  
and his brothers taught me all I needed to know about overhauling and keeping a car running at it's peak. I have plenty of fond memories of Raymond and his entire family, including his wonderful parents.
     Rest now my friend; till we meet again.

My thoughts & prayers go out to the Bailey family,I knew Ray from when i worked at Christionson plumbing and he was the mechanic. Just wanted to say what a great guy he was and very helpful and outgoing.Sorry for your lost & may god bless your family.

As a child I loved getting to hang with "Libby" Olivia at her house for many reasons but especially because Ray always made me laugh. He always made the house lively. I cherish those memories.

My first memory of Raymond was when I was about 9 yrs old when he drove a black 57 chevy, it was probably one of the first "hot rods" I had ever seen.... Some years after that I became his bother in law and helped him work on other cars including another 57 (a bronze colored one if I recall correctly). Another time I helped him literally stuff a 396cu or 454 into a 65 chevy pickup in the early 1980's and it was crazy fast. Building hot rods were one of his favorite hobbies and he was the "best mechanic" I have ever known.. I have always owed a debt of gratitude to Raymond because he was very patient and generous to me in more ways then one during those days and times when I could not seem to hold a job and do right as they say. What stood out the most about Raymond is, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Needless to say, we drank quite a few beers together back in the day and I cannot recall him ever missing a days work. I am deeply saddened by his departure and "I will never forget his laugh"                                           Don Guin  (New Braunfels, TX.)

Ray was the "COOLEST" cousin a guy could have. I have many fond memories of spending a summer on the farm picking cotton with Butch, Reynolds.  and Ray. Rest in Peace Raymond best cousin a kid could have in the 50's....

I First met Raymond When he was 9 years old. that's when i met his older brother James. He was so cute. He was always with his older brother Ren Who is now in Heaven with him Having a great time. I remember the time when i was pregnate with my daughter Cathy, and Raymond was about 12 years old, franticly running back and forth between Me and the car, till i finally got in to go to the hospital. One of the things I remember about him, his smile was the biggest smile i have ever seen on anyone. He was happy.  And he enjoyed his family so much. And his love for Barbara was endless. So many people loved him for who he was. - With love from James's Family.

Uncle Raymond loved a good prank!  I remember once he called for my Dad, his eldest brother James, and stated he (Uncle Raymond) was a Bexar County Sheriff Officer coming to arrest my Dad; however, my oldest brother James "Jimmy" answered the phone and upon hearing of his pending arrest shouted, "Dad, I think the phone is for you!"  Uncle Raymond loved cars and was an excellent mechanic.  When I was around the age of five or so, I remember Uncle Raymond had a two-tone '57 Chevy; I though he was the coolest uncle ever!  When growing up, I always wanted to be near Uncle Raymond and share everything with him; in fact, I shared my chicken pox with him.  I always thought I'd grow up and marry my Uncle Raymond; the naive innocence of a child ...       Uncle Raymond selected Aunt Barbara to be his soul-mate; it is said, "behind every great man there stands a great woman."  This is so very true when it comes to Aunt Barbara.       Our deepest thoughts, prayers, love, and blessings are with Aunt Barbara, Kenneth, Olivia, and all his sweet grandchildren whom Uncle Raymond loved very much and was so very proud to be their PawPaw.  Be kind to yourselves and most of all, allow the stages of grief and roller coaster of emotions that goes with each stage take its course.  I still grieve for my Dear Ol Daddy and little sister Jan.
