

Raymond Gonzales Buenteo peacefully passed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 92. Raymond was born in Shiner, Texas on March 15, 1933 to his parents Severo Solis Buenteo and Theresa Gonzales Buenteo. Raymond was raised in San Antonio, Texas where he attended school. Later he served in the National Guard and received an Honorable Discharge. Raymond was an entrepreneur and was a successful business owner in transportation and real estate.
Raymond dedicated his life to his children, wife, and family. He had a feisty personality; yet, was always the first to help family and friends in need. Raymond had an infectious smile and made himself present. During Raymond’s early years; he enjoyed barbecuing for large family gatherings, and volunteered in little league. He loved listening to 50’s music and dancing with Elvira and enjoyed playing dominoes and going to the Casino. He also enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with Elvira.
Raymond; the youngest of nine siblings, will be reunited in heaven with his parents, siblings, and the love of his life; Elvira Pineda Buenteo who he shared a 70 year marriage.
Raymond’s memory will be forever lived on by his six children: Irene Santoy, Erma Navarro, Dora Nuerminger, Arthur Buenteo, Eva Saldana, and Elvira Gonzales, , plus one daughter in-law, four son in-laws, ten grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home starting at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary beginning at 6:30 pm. The Mass of The Resurrection is scheduled for December 16, 2025, at 12:30 pm at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament with the interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
