Raymond was a distinguished Army Veteran, having received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service. After retiring from the Army, he transitioned to a career as an organic chemist and shared his knowledge through years of teaching.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria McCrory, and their children: sons Russell McCrory and Brian McCrory, and daughter Dixie McCrory.
In his personal life, Raymond enjoyed watching classic black and white shows such as Gunsmoke and took pleasure in walking.
A committal service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, on December 1, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. Raymond will be fondly remembered for his compassionate nature and hard-working spirit.
