Rebecca Rivas De La Rosa

Rebecca "Becky" Rivas De La Rosa, age 60, of San Antonio, Texas, although too young, was called to receive her due reward by her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2013. She was surrounded by family and friends as she entered Heaven.

Becky was born on December 21, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, daughter to the late Santos and Mary Rivas. She was a graduate of St. Gerard's High school where she met the love of her life, Juan De La Rosa. They were united in marriage on October 21, 1972. They shared forty years of love and laughter as they raised four children. Becky was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, friends, and Bunco ladies. Her love was unconditional and her sense of humor contagious.

Becky is survived by her adoring husband and their four children, Christina Rather and husband John, Juan De La Rosa and wife Patricia, Joseph Andrew De La Rosa, and Angela De La Rosa. She cherished and spoiled six grandchildren, Alyssa De La Rosa, Alison Rather, Samantha De La Rosa, Juan De La Rosa III, Emily Rather and Julia Rather. She is also survived by six siblings. Whether you knew her as Pal, Mom, Mamo, Becky or Miss Bucky, she was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
