Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who touched many lives and will be greatly
missed.
Rebecca (Becky) met her soulmate and love of her life David. 6 months after meeting they were married
and remained married for 46 wonderful years. They were blessed with two wonderful children Julia and
David Jr.
Becky graduated from Kennedy High School in San Antonio, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from UTSA and her Master’s Degree in Education from Texas A&M. During her 27-year career teaching at numerous elementary schools, she became a school librarian towards the end of her career.
She was always giving back and helping those less fortunate. In 2009 she became a founding member of
the First Ladies only Lions club in San Antonio. She held several officer positions during her time and
enjoyed the fellowship with the ladies.
Besides being with her grandchildren Oscar and Catalina, Becky kept busy, especially after she retired in
2017. She loved fishing, bowling, attended car shows and car club events, road trips to Las Vegas,
collecting stamps and coins to name a few. Becky started a small business called “Sunshine Jules” where
she made earrings and other jewelry by hand.
Becky had a smile that was infectious and will be missed by many of us. She gave us a lot of memories to cherish, and we will again be with her and the Lord in heaven.
