A lifetime resident of San Antonio, she was born June 25, 1962.
After graduating from Roosevelt High School, she obtained her degree and teacher's certificate from Southwest Texas State University.
She taught high school at Robert E. Lee and Churchill.
She is survived by her husband, Charles McDermott; son, Clayton McDermott; parents, David and Peggy Rochelle; brother, Donald Rochelle and his wife Cinira; sisters, Jeanine Rochelle and Deborah Crumrine; nieces, Sandra Crumrine, Michelle Crumrine, Nikki Jones and Viviann Rochelle; nephews, Jason Jones and Cateno Rochelle; father-in-law, Mac McDermott and his wife Colleen; mother-in-law, Ann Palmer; sisters-in-law, Crystal Godwin and Cindy Girdwood; nephews, David and Blake Girdwood, and niece, Madeleine Godwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
