

Col. Robert David Morris USAF (Ret), age 79, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, in Spring Branch, Texas. He was born on November 14, 1944, in Fairborn, Ohio, to parents, Lt Col Robert Morris, USAF (Ret) and Garnett. Robert graduated from Lee High School in Springfield, Virginia in 1962, Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1966, and University of Missouri, in Rolla, Missouri in 1974. In 1966, Robert was commissioned in the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant and launched his service to his country where he served his country honorably for over 27 years as a Civil Engineer. During his Air Force career, he held assignments in the Philippines, Italy, England, Germany, South Dakota, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado, and Texas. Robert retired from the Air Force in 1993 while assigned to Brooks AFB, Texas in the rank of Colonel. After retiring from the Air Force, Robert worked as a Project Manager for 3DI and Parsons until 2010. Robert enjoyed life to the fullest, cycling, nature walks and socializing with family and friends. In 2007, Robert married his beloved wife, Elizabeth. Robert’s fondest memories included the times they spent together, enjoying each other’s company as they traveled the world and dancing anytime they could. Robert cared deeply for his son Colin, daughter-in law Lynn, grandchildren Rebecca and William, stepdaughter Annette, step-grandchildren Sierra, Sean William, Alexandria and her husband Jordan, step-great grandchildren Aiden and Jaren, and nephew Chandler.
He was preceded in death by, his father Robert, mother Garnett, sister Constance Morris, and first wife, Eileen Atwood. Robert is survived by his wife Elizabeth Morris, son Colin Morris, brother Thomas Morris and numerous cousins.
