Ret. TSgt. Alfonso J. Garcia

Alfonso Juan Garcia, born June 30, 1926 entered into rest November 21, 2017. Alfonso is preceded in death by his parents, Lirico Garcia-Diaz and Maria Sciagaluga-Garcia; sister and brother-in-law, Violet and Jack Bado. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Garcia; sons, Alfonso Miguel Garcia (Sara Alicia) and Albert Lirico Garcia (Elizabeth Aguilar); grandchildren, Christopher Alex Garcia, Cristina Garcia and Sean Luc Garcia. He enjoyed reading, watching soccer and football, playing the accordion and eating Pasta! He sang in the church choir with his wife, Mary Helen. Alfonso was an extremely talented Pharmacist and devoted service man in the United States Air Force. Alfonso, a loving husband and caring father who will dearly be missed.

The visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home on Monday, December 04, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home Tuesday, December 05, 2017 for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. John Berchman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
