Rev. Dr. Thomas R. Peel, 86, died April 15 in San Antonio, TX. Tom was born in Shelby County, TN, on February 20, 1937. He graduated from Bolton High School (1955), Lambuth University (1959) and Southern Methodist University Perkins Seminary (1961). Later, he completed his Doctorate of Ministry in homiletics at Perkins. Tom was ordained into the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church and served numerous churches and thousands of parishioners during his long career as a minister.Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John and Willie Redman Peel, and three siblings. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his children, Jennifer Peel and Brad Peel, Brad’s wife, Laura Denney Peel, and their two children, Katherine Peel Kuenast (Ryan) and Andrew Peel.
