At a tender age of 17, Rey choose the same career as our Lord & Savior, carpentry.  He would wake up early in the morning and walked to the bus stop, rain or shine whether it was cold or not, with a bucket full of tools to ride the bus to work. He learned from the best or the best my father, Chevo that being a carpenter was not an easy job.  Rey then took on the responsibility of being a husband & father to the LOVE’s of his life my sister and his son, baby Ray.  
Rey had a strong dark dominating personality that would scare the day lights out of anyone; but no matter how dark he may have been the light of his love always broke shined thru his heart when it came to the needs of his family.  I recall a knock on my door at 2 o’clock in the morning, he went to my apartment to inform me about one of our family members accident; he could have simply called my cell phone to let me know, but his thoughts were greater than a simple call as he gracefully said, I came to take you to the hospital and assured me that everything would be fine, knowing that I would lose my mine during that difficult moment. One time my 2 year old son Joshua needed out-patient surgery, it was a minor procedure but Rey didn’t look at it that way he wanted to make sure Joshua was taken care of and offered to go with me to the procedure at 5 am in the morning, that was the kind of caring heart he had. The day my father passed away my son had an accident, across the street from our home, Rey safely carried my son off the drive-way to our home and waited until I got there. That was Rey caring for the ones he loved, as a father would for his own child. 
I pray that my son-Joshua would one day grow up to be like his uncle Rey; even with ALL HIS FLAWS, a loving father and husband. I look forward to God’s promise that one day we will be reunited in heaven to cherish and love each other for eternity. It was comforting to know that (4) little angels sent by God comforted Rey along his journey.  Peace is with

I remember meeting Ray for the first time at Gardner State park sitting around a bbq pit as he smoked a some deer and brisket. All of us sat up around the fire talking for the night, the next day he comes up to me and hands me this whole leg of deer and says “enjoy” ,  weather it was him laughing at me and Raoul as we slowly laid down  laminate flooring to then watch him do what took us hours to do in only minutes or fishing on the beach he was always laughing and joking with us. On of my best trips to the beach was mid week cause he wanted to go and me Ray jr, Raoul and Ray all headed down and we caught more sharks that trip than any other I’ve been on. All i have is good memories of Ray. Glad I was able to spend time on the sand with him. 

Little ray is my cousin and always had a good relationship. During family functions we always had our fair share of beers and good times. God bless you primo and rest in peace.

Ray was a very strong built man, very generous with his wisdom. I will miss him dearly. He may be gone but never forgotten!😥

Guajardo, Sisters; Doris &amp; husband (Samuel), Elsa and husband (Rick), Eleanor. Brother; David and wife (Elizabeth). Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts &amp; uncles. He is preceded in death by his father Reynaldo G. Guajardo Jr. and wife Constance, Sister Elizabeth Guajardo and Paternal Grand Parents.
