Rhoda H. Taylor was born on August 4, 1930 in WI and entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Geology. Rhoda was a Spurs fanatic, recording all of their games. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines and the Choral at Trinity Baptist Church. Rhoda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Taylor, Sr. Surviving are her daughter, Sharman A. Palmer (Jeff); son, Sgt. Thomas W. Taylor, Jr. (Nancy); granddaughters, Ashley & Laura Taylor; sister, Pat Lyford (Bill). The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Trinity Baptist Church Thrift Chapel. A private interment will take place at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Disabled American Veterans.
