I met Mr. Nix only a few times at Rahlene and Robert's home - a gracious man, married to a lovely woman, and raised a beautiful family in the Lord -

Wow, where to start. I guess I'll start with you will be missed greatly but we all know you are in a Wonderful, Awesome place right now. Just jealous. wonder how many songs you have already sung with JESUS? Great memories Go-Carting in the yard and out at the parking lot of the football stadium, hanging on to that trollie for hours on end all the Easter egg hunts in that Beautiful yard. All those years going skiing and always on the lookout for that one great spot to come down on innertubes in the snow. All the singing and worshipping the Lord. watching the Gaither videos. And all the movies of past family get togethers that was Great, a life time of memories. I will surely miss you and look forward to seeing you and mama wiley, granny bailey, and papa stanley.

Dear "other Momma" and family - I am truly blessed to have had Rhollie as my "other Daddy" since the day I was born. Although I long to see him again and I WILL see him again! and talk to him and hug and kiss him at least one more time, I am rejoicing that he is Home and he is HEALED! We have spent many, many years together worshipping our Savior and singing praises to him. Now Rhollie is face to face with Jesus, his precious Lord, and I can see Rhollie worshipping him, loving him and singing his praises next to all of our Old Friends who have gone to Jesus before us. I was blessed to have Rhollie as a friend, as an extra Daddy and most of all as an example of Jesus in my life. My heart is overflowing with both loss and joy. Well done, my precious Rhollie. You fought a good fight. You stood firmly on The Rock in both joy and in sorrow. You loved deeply and you were loved deeply in return. You touched and changed my life in millions of ways. My heart aches to see you, but my soul rejoices and sings "Victory in Jesus" in celebration of your life. Heaven is a richer place today because of my sweet friend going home. All of you have been out of my sight for some years now, but never out of mind. I always will consider you as part of my family. Miss seeing you all and being around you. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the Nix family. Mr. Nix was like family to me. When I didn't have a family at church the Nix's would include me in theirs. We will truly miss Rhollie and his love for life. Now his love for life is being enjoyed in heaven. What a day that will be when we can join him. Hug and kiss Mrs. Nix from me, my other mother. With all of our love, Thomas, Rosemary, Moriah, Micah, and a child to be named later.

For 80 years Rhollie and I were very close friends. After we both were married we did almost everything together. His father led my father to the LORD and less than 2 weeks later my father was killed in a car wreck, but then he was ready for heaven.What a heritage Rhollie has left for his family!! Rhollie had a way to make people happy, and that he did. He will be remembered as my "best friend" and a wonderful example for all who knew him. Now he's strolling down streets of gold beside the river of life. I'm happy to know that when I get to heaven old aquaintainces will be reunited. Lloyd

From the time i started going to the church, all i can remember is the great times i had to spend with Rhollie. I loved him very much and he was a huge inspiration to me. To the family: My sympathies and prayers are with you all. Know that I love you all very much.

One of the faces that I remember as a child growing up at First Assembly was Bro. Nix. 
I remember being at their home on the South side, and although it has been twenty years since that evening, I can still remember how beautiful their backyard was, and the smile that came over Brother Nix?s face when I told him so. I will truly miss that smile... and the man behind it.

Chip & I felt loved by Rhollie and we loved him. He enjoyed sharing memories of his wife & family. He will be missed very much. We love you, Mama Irene, and please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. May God's love and peace comfort you in your loss.
