Ricarda “Rickie” Burdick

Born in Sweetwater, Texas, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and beautiful smile brightened every room she entered.

Ricarda enjoyed gardening, reading, tanning, fishing, crabbing, playing bingo, and spending time at the casino.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary, Maria, Christina, and Daniela; her sons, Robert and Francisco; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Josie and Mary.

As written in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, on June 15, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, on June 16, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, with livestream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.

A Committal Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209, on June 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:20 pm, with livestream available at https://www.facebook.com/1742304236071652.

A Catered Reception will follow in the Lonestar Room at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218, on June 16, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
