He served 4 years in the United States Air Force and served in the U.S. Army 24 years prior to retiring and served in Korea and Vietnam.
He retired from Kelly AFB after 20 years and was a life member of the VFW Post No. 6012 and American Legion Post No. 399.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vidal T. Mendoza and Manuela Saenz.
e is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dalia Mendoza; sister, Elma M. Hinojosa and husband, Hector; niece, Pamela Lowman and husband, Richard and their family, all of Alice, TX; nephew, Danny Hinojosa and wife, Cindy and their family and several aunts. The family would like to thank the Dr's and staff at Wilford Hall for their kindness and support, also Heritage Home Health Staff.
