

Richard "Dickie" Bohl, 70, passed away October 5, 2005, at his home in San Antonio, Texas, from cancer. He was born November 5, 1934, on the Bohl Ranch in Devine, Texas, the son of Alex and Dora Bohl.
Richard was a kind and gentle person who strived to be the best he could be in his career and in his personal life. He enjoyed learning and was a highly respected scientist for the University of California working at Los Alamos Laboratories in New Mexico for 33 years.
He was a world-renowned lecturer traveling to many universities and government agencies in the United States, the Soviet Union, and other countries.
In his retirement he and Margie enjoyed traveling and he became an avid woodworking artist leaving many treasured pieces for friends and family.
Richard is survived by his wife of 16 years, Margie Morales Bohl,; his children, Jake & Sabra Bohl, Rick & Dehn Stepp, and Alex Bohl; two step sons, Mark Weiss and Michael Weiss, as well as seven grandchildren.
His first wife, Barbara Jacob Bohl, preceded him in death.
He is also survived by his sisters, Laura Maney, Adilene Bohl, Margie Irwin and Betty Ebrom.
Private services will be held in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
