Richard M. Crozier

He was born 5 December, 1931 in Streator, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Suyon of Del Rio, Texas; daughter Kim Cox and husband Richard of San Antonio, TX; daughter Micole Summersby of Edmond, OK; brother John and wife Lucy Crozier of Streator, IL; grandsons Justin Cox of Austin, TX, Stormy Archer of Norman, OK and granddaughter Asia Summersby of Edmond, OK.

Richard grew up in Streator, IL. In May 1952, he was drafted into the Army served in the US Army Artillery at the height of the Korean War. He left the Army and returned to Streator, IL following his service in Korea and in September, 1957, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He then served 22 years in the Air Force with assignments in South Korea, Japan and Texas. He retired from Laughlin AFB, TX in February, 1979. He then joined the Federal Civil Service and worked in the Security field with the International Water and Boundary Commission at Lake Amistad from which he retired in August 1992.

Visitation will be held at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home located at 6321 Bandera Rd. San Antonio, TX 78238 on Tuesday, 24 Aug, 2010 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM 25 Aug, 2010 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
