'We deeply feel the terrible loss of Richard. We have been his parents friends for over 40 years and feel their pain and constantly pray that they, his wife and all the family may find some comfort to their unbearable pain. 
We mostly knew Richard when he was growing up and there couldn't have been a nicest, sweetest, best behaved boy. He was a joy to be around.

'As an employee at AT&T, I worked with Richard on a number of occasions. Richard had that winning combination of being highly intelligent, dedicated to doing the right thing for the business, a team player and always pleasant. Richard will be missed by his fellow co-workers.'

'My mother, father and I are very sorry to hear that Richard passed. We worked at HEB together and went to Judson HS. He was a very good friend and I missed him. 'I met Richard when he was 16 years old. 
He was my son Alex Fuentes' best friend. He and Alex spent a lot of time together either just hanging out or lifting weights at our home on Moonlit Ridge. Both attended Judson High School and both worked at the HEB on Montgomery. 
He was a wonderful boy and I never forgot him and never will. He had a great personality and always had something funny to say and a smile on his face. Sometimes parents worry about their teen's friends however when I met Richard I knew I could not have asked for a better friend for Alex than Richard. 
Eventhough they lost touch, Alex joined the Airforce and was stationed first in Louisiana and then in Germany for 7 years, I know that Richard has a special place in my son's heart that no one else will ever replace. I truly believe that Richard also thought of Alex because on Sunday, Alex suddenly, out of the blue, wondered how Richard was doing. He considered attempting to contact him and wondered if he still lived in San Antonio. Then as we sometimes do, he got busy with his life and regrettably the moment passed.
