I was sad to hear of Ricky "The Fox" passing away. Of course, thinking of all the fond memories came to me when we worked together in the D.A.'s office many years ago. He always made me smile and laugh at the little things. Ricky was a very good man and was dedicated to his family and work. Cheer's to you Ricky "The Fox".

Ricky was the BEST in every way - animal lover, human being, attorney . . .

As a personal friend and a friend to law enforcement, Ricky was always ready to help. Many a lunch or happy hour ended in "we should do this more often", unfortunately something always seemed to delay it. RIP Ricky, you'll be missed.

I worked with Ricky at the DA's office during both of his tenures there. Great guy and a good prosecutor, I will miss him. Lenny

Ricky was a classmate if mine at Alamo Heights Class of 1970. He was a nice man and a great attorney and lived down the street from my mother for many years. Judge Peter Michael Curry told me many years ago that he was a fine lawyer and always liked it when he was in his Courtroom. He thought Ricky had it all as a lawyer and that is a great Compliment from a Judge.

Ricky had a wonderful spirit and distinct voice. He was a kind man, and cared for his animals. I'm happy to have known you, Mr. Fox.

He left too soon. Thank you for everything.

Ricky was one of akind. I was glad to know him during my tenor at the DA's office. Rest is peace Ricky.

The day was a hot one, temperature ninety-nine. 
Normal for Texas; for Ann and Leo, divine. 
That was the day, God blessed those two, 
Thirty-first of August 1952. Oh, what a Labor Day weekend, that turned out to be! 
Born the very next day: my brother, Billy. 
My love for them both I wish I could voice, 
Now especially Ricky: my brother by choice. You are a true friend who never did stray, 
My love for you will Not Fade Away. 
I cried like a babe when I learned you were gone, 
But God knew best and said Youd better move on. Do not Tell Me, Its all over now, 
You live in my heart, and man I mean how. 
I told you quite clearly I do not like cats. 
You knew Id get no Satisfaction like that. You said over again, You need a kitty. 
I always replied, Dont sing me that ditty. 
Because of you, I will neer be alone, 
For you helped me mend my Heart of Stone. So now my cats, they Live With Me, 
And we are blessed, and also Happy. 
Ricky, they all owe you a big kiss. 
But Natalie and Naomi would just rise up and hiss. How I wish Id known that day, so sunny and fine, 
When we would break bread for The Last Time. 
God in his wisdom, gave you a large portion. 
We would not have enjoyed it, if Id had a notion. I cannot help but remember and cry, 
And sit and watch As Tears Go By. 
Last week I painted my door white, I will not Paint It, Black. 
Life is not for grieving, its too short for that. But at this moment, I am not being a Fool to Cry. 
It is OK to question, and ask God Oh Why? 
And now it is Respectable to admit I am Shattered. 
For Ricky you are truly someone who mattered. For as long as I live I will Miss You. 
I know you are in Heaven, perhaps with Brian and Jerry too. 
I bet there are Nachos aplenty and youre having a plateful, 
And since youre in Heaven, I know that youre Grateful. An old German song says up there theres no beer. 
If true, its because there is so much to cheer. 
Like someday we can again eat enchiladas and bean-os, 
And that in heaven your stomach can handle jalapenos. I look and your picture and cannot help but smile, 
And think that perhaps in a while, 
We will be at a concert with Mick and the Stones. 
Brian will be playing, and even George Jones. Ludwig will join Billy Preston and tickle the keys. 
Since Beethoven will hear, hell be weak in the knees. 
My brother Bill will spell Charlie on Drums, 
Ill still have no talent, but quietly hum. Muddy and Chuck will get up on stage, 
And make someone dance, and hell be the rage. 
Who is that dude, dancin a storm? Why Ricky its you! 
Cause yes, Heaven knows what you hid in your shoe! Willie will join Mick and we will all sing Dead Flowers. 
Youll look over at me with one of your funny fake glowers. 
I will know the question, which your silent look composes. 
Youll laugh when I answer I did not forget the roses. When the concert is over we will fly home with our cats, 
And all of my dogs, and give each one a pat. 
It wont seem like enough, so you will politely ask Jesus, 
With Love hell suggest: several hugs and some squeezes. Ill stay up late like a Child of the Moon, 
Youll lie down with a clowder, and Succotash too. 
With ten or twelve kitties asleep on your chest, 
You will smile your sweet smile and say Aint this the best? Forever began 2 August 14. 
Until we meet again, is a time in-between. 
Thereafter, there will be no tears to keep at bay, 
And Wild, Wild Horses, well ride them some day.

Nobody had a kinder heart than Ricky. He always was filled with a joke and a smile. You will be missed Ricky Fox. Rest in peace.

Ricky was a good friend and classmate from elementary school all the way through law school. Many great memories. He had a great sense of humor and I will miss the sound of his laugh.

You will be missed Ricky, I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you. Your love for animals and especially cats will always be remembered. Thank you for always assisting us with our cases and your funny inputs regarding actor. You will be missed greatly, rest in peace my friend.

Ricky was a great guy. Ricky, my wife and I saw the Rolling Stones together on Halloween, 1981, in the CottonBowl. We stood in a driving rain as the Stones stepped out to the edge of the stage and played for us in the rain. We were wet, the conditions were miserable but we were having the time of our lives singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at the tops of our lungs. Every time we ran into each other at the Courthouse, we would relive that moment. I never heard Ricky say a bad thing about anyone and I don't know anyone who met Ricky who didn't automatically take a liking to him. He was intelligent, kind and I can still hear that booming voice of his! My condolences to his family and other friends.
