Richard Garcia

Richard Garcia peacefully passed away on January 29, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Patsy DeLeon Garcia. He is also survived by his children, Rick, Terri, and Diane, along with her spouse, M.A. Rivero, and by his grandson, Jon, who surrounded him with love in his final days. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Josephine DeLeon.

Richard was preceded in death by his in-laws, Ralph Sr. and Carmen DeLeon; Ralph Jr.; Frances DeLeon; and Henry DeLeon.

Born in 1936 in San Antonio, Texas, Richard was deeply loved by his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to make others laugh. He treasured time spent with his nieces and nephews and cherished the companionship of his sister- and brother-in-law across Michigan and Nevada. He especially loved to travel with his wife, Patsy, enjoying their many adventures together and creating treasured memories along the way.

All family and friends will meet at St. Ann's Catholic Church; 210 St Ann St, San Antonio, TX 78201 on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 12:45 pm for a Mass of the Resurrection at 1:00 pm, following the mass the family kindly asks everyone to meet at Fort Sam Houston for a Committal Service with Military Honors.
