Richard Sean Gerrity

Richard was born in Kansas City, Missouri to James B. Gerrity, Jr. and Ruby Maurine (Stevens) Gerrity on September 22, 1965. After graduating from Judson High School in Converse, Texas, he followed in his father’s footsteps by serving in the United States Air Force. When his military service was complete, Richard began a career in construction. In 2007, he opened his own remodeling company, Fix & Fluff.

Richard married Vicki Longoria on 10-22-2011 in Luling, Texas.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents James and Ruby Gerrity.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Vicki, his siblings, Rose Ann (Gerrity) Rutledge, James Robert (Bob) Gerrity, and Sue S. Gerrity (Karen), his children, Shenale Gerrity, and Tyler Hester, his grandchildren Evaly, Wyatt, Riley and Trent, his niece and nephews Chris Rutledge, Brian Rutledge, and Laura (Rutledge) Samson, and many great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, located at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, on January 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A chapel service will follow at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 11:00 am.
