

Richard D. Green, age 88, passed away on November 23, 2021 in Castle Hills, TX. He spent 10 years in the Airforce as a USAF Military Police Officer. He was later commissioned as a Bexar County Deputy Sheriff, and retired as a Castle Hills Police Officer. He was a Supervisor at the Castle Hills Public Works Department. He was a Commissioned State Police Officer who graduated the San Antonio Citizens Police Academy. He was a member of the Cellular on Patrol and formed the Castle Hills Crime Watch. He was a member of the Texas Crime Prevention Board at the Directors Alamo Area Crime Prevention. He was later named as an Honorary Deputy Constable in Precinct #2.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nell Green and son, Timothy Green. Richard D. Green is survived by his, Daughter Mary Nell Moore (Jon); Son, Richard Wayne Green (Nora); Grandchildren, Austin Green, Megan Soefje, Renae Soefje, Richard Soefje, Sarah Moore, Bryan Green, and Patricia Green; 3 Great Grandchildren, Mia Lynn Velazquez, Sophia Ann Soefje and Melody Deanne Soefje.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, 11/29/2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Fisher House Foundation or a Charity of your own choosing.
Richard D. Green will be laid to rest at a later date.
