

Richard L. Guida, age 64, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was born in Oceanside, New York on May 6, 1951 to Bartholomew and Shirley Guida. He was a Lance Corporal Vietnam Marine Veteran and a recipient of a Silver Star Medal, Navy Cross Medal, Bronze Star Medal and 5 Purple Heart Medals. Richard retired after 25 years of dedicated service from City Bank and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3018 . He was also a member of St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church and Disable American Veterans (DAV). He was loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Guida; son, Jeffrey Guida; brothers, Bart and Guy Guida; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Anna) Lovas, Richard (Laura) Lovas; nieces, Susan Chlarsen, Kara Tanek, Kristin Carlson and Cheryl Thacker; nephews, Stephen Lovas III, Derek Lovas and Bart Guida Jr. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral rosary will be recited at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Road 78253 on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M. also at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
