Richard C. Martinez

After serving his country in the United States Navy, Richard continued to honor fellow Veterans as a dedicated member of the VFW. He loved to spend his days fishing, cooking, camping by the beach, and boating. His love for classic 70’s rock was the soundtrack to countless memories shared with family and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Alvina and Felipe, his brother Nene, and sister-in-law Rosa. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Gilbert Martinez, Roland Martinez, Richard Anthony Martinez (Marizu), Natalie Ann Martinez (James), Alejandro Enrique Martinez, Nancy Jo Tellez (Jesse), Jacqueline Noemi Martinez, and Tanya Gerlach (David); He was a grandfather to 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and leaves behind numerous family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Military Honors will began at 11:45 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date.

In honor of the family’s wishes, please do not send flowers. Instead, cherish Richard’s memory by enjoying time with your loved ones, just as he always did.
