He is survived by his loving children: Laura; Samantha (Jeff); Richard (Lisa); and Denise (Thomas). He also leaves behind a legacy of 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and cherished friends whose lives he touched deeply.
Richard lived a life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and service. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he later retired. A man of many talents and interests, Richard had a lifelong passion for automobiles—especially MG cars—and proudly owned a 1967 Chevrolet. He found great joy in car restoration, woodworking, and even took to the skies as a pilot, embracing the freedom of flight.
A devoted member of his community, Richard belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a member of MENSA, reflecting both his faith and his keen intellect. His compassion for animals was evident in his weekly volunteer work every Friday at a local cat and dog adoption agency, where he dedicated his time and often opened his home to senior pets in need of love and care.
Richard will be remembered for his generous spirit, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family, his passions, and the simple joys of life. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a legacy that will endure.
