

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Richard grew up with a spirit full of curiosity and kindness. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, resilience, compassion, and devout love for his family, as well as the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him.
Richard was a proud member of the law enforcement community and dedicated his career to protecting and serving others. Richard retired honorably as the Police Chief of Hutto, Texas, in 2004.
Richard cherished his beautiful wife, children, grandchild, family, and granddogs and found joy in traveling with his wife to his favorite place, Walt Disney World, and attending concerts. His legacy lives on in the stories we share, the traditions he passed down, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, children, Richard Miller Jr, Lindsay Miller, John Miller, and Lisa Miller (Tijerina), sons-in-law, Israel Moreno and Luis Tijerina, grandchild, Luca Israel Moreno-Miller, daughter-in-law, Vianca Miller, and his dogs, Coco and Perdy. He is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Donald Miller, and mother, Mary Helen Torres.
