Richard Dick Roberds

Richard "Dick" Roberds, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. He was born October 14, 1933 to Clifford and Ignota Roberds in Warsaw, Indiana. Dick attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1955. He was proud member of Phi Kappa Psi. He served his country from January 1956 to January 1958 on active duty, and was in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1960. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class. After his service, Dick began his 44 year career in merchandising and held Senior Executive positions at both Dillard's and Macy's. In his spare time, Dick loved playing golf.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Betty Roberds; daughters Laura Roberds and partner, Susan Elmer, and Brenda Morgan and husband, John; grandchildren, Chris Morgan and his wife, Jana, and Brice Morgan and his wife, Lynn; great grandchildren, Caleb, Max and Wellsley Morgan; and sister, Jo Ellen Mack and her husband, Jack.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
