Richard James Stachowiak

Richard James Stachowiak, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Richard was a proud Longhorn having graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Pharmacy. After graduation, Richard moved to Brownsville where he served our community as a pharmacist for over 60 years working at Den Russ Pharmacy and Los Ebanos Pharmacy. Richard was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Frank Stachowiak. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Ann Stachowiak; his children: Bill (Cheri), John, Fred, and Donald Stachowiak, Janice (Cloyce Stetson) Stachowiak, Donna Stachowiak and daughter #3, Cecelia Cisneros; 7 grandchildren; Cheryl Smith, Sharon Idoux, Richard Stachowiak, Alice Stachowiak, Victoria Stetson, Cloyce Richard Stetson, Andrew Stetson and 5 great-grandchildren; Travis Stachowiak, Connor Idoux, Parker Idoux, Bradley Stachowiak and Brooke Stachowiak. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. and a graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
