Richard Bryan Taubert, born November 30, 1924, passed into our Lord’s hands on April 10, 2013 at the age of 88. Richard was born, raised and spent his life in San Antonio. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 36 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Madeline; son Thad (Judie), daughter Julie Friedrichs (Paul); grandchildren Tamara Baril (James), Richie Taubert, Clinton, Felicia and Lydia Friedrichs; and great-grandchildren Inessa and Declan Baril.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Richard’s caregiver, Ruth Birkert, for her dedication, care and support and also to the employees of Hope Hospice.
Services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 13715 Riggs Rd , Helotes, TX 78023 with a visitation at 10:30, rosary at 11:30 and mass at 12:00. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery with U.S. Air Force military honors. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut Ave., New Braunfels, TX 78130.
