Richard Alexander Alex Vickery

Richard graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1994; he went on to graduate from the University of Wyoming in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

In 2002, Richard joined The United States Air Force as a 2nd Lt. He served two tours in Afghanistan. Richard served as special intelligence advisor to the deputy chief of staff in Afghanistan. He was called to this post by General Stanley McChrystal. He also provided briefs for the Secretary of Defense Gates, Secretary of State Clinton, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mullen and many others. During his service, Richard received many awards and commendations including the Bronze Star of Valor.

Richard had many loves, passions, and interests in his life. He had two rescue dogs, Arnold and Annie, whom he loved deeply and cared for unconditionally.

Richard was very involved with the Masonic Brotherhood was a member of many local lodges, held several different offices, and was member of the Scottish Rite.

Richard enjoyed his time at the range, as he was a Master Marksman.

Richard had a wonderful relationship with the Lord. He was a member at All Saints Anglican Church and led a men's group, The Order of St. Timothy.

Richard was loved by many, as he was a faithful servant of the Lord, a loving son, brother, uncle and fiancée. He will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Lundmark. Alex is survived by his sisters, Mollie Minke (David) and Christi Howell (Tim); step-father, Luke Lundmark; fiancée, Melissa Alderman; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Audrey, Analisa and Aiden; his beloved rescue dogs, Annie & Arnold.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
