

Richard was born in San Antonio, Texas to Stella and Charles Weik, on August 17, 1958. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School where he met his future wife, Arlene Michelle Trammell. The high-school sweethearts graduated in the summer of 1976 and wed a few months later on November 6th. They welcomed their only child, Desiree Jolene in September 1978. Richard attended St. Mary's University, studying business, but left to become a real estate agent. Throughout his life, Richard had a few professions: real estate agent, gift shop owner, restaurateur, landlord, and hotel manager.
Richard loved to participate in neighborhood activities which included being on the historical board, hosting home tours, and welcoming new neighbors. He loved to watch old black and white movies, travel, garden, renovate his homes, rescue pug dogs, help those in need, sing in public for reason, and brag to everyone about his family. He especially loved flying pigs and hippopotamus.
Richard is proceeded in death by Arlene Michelle, wife; Stella and Charles, parents; and George, brother. He survived by his daughter, Desiree Jolene.
Memorial service will be held on November 12, 2024 at 10am. Service and arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that a donation be made to local animal shelters; or adoption of a hippopotamus be made to a zoo.
