Richard was on born on April 28, 1929 in Kiowa, Kansas to George and Edith Yochum. He attended high school in Kiowa and briefly played football at Fort Hays State.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. Richard was a successful entrepreneur who owned many different businesses in his lifetime.
He will be lovingly remembered by friends and family for his generosity, his sparkling blue eyes and his wonderful sense of humor. He always had a story to share and joke to tell.
Richard appreciated good food and good company.
He is survived by two children and three grandchildren.
