Col. Rita J. Ball (USAF, Ret.), age 90, of San Antonio, passed peacefully in her own bed on Sunday, December 15, 2013. She proudly served her country as a nurse for 32 years in the United States Air Force. Miss Rita continued her service to her country as a volunteer in the Orthopedic Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center. All who knew her knew her love of dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Catherine Ball and sister, Rose Mary King.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Weed, many family and friends, and the last of her loving dogs, Missy.
