Rita H. O'Donnell

She was born in Sharples, W. Virginia. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the Air Force with a future career as a nurse. After an honorable discharge, she continued her nursing profession working in different E.R.'s for over 15 years and then worked with several physician's offices.

For 15 years, she volunteered at the satellite pharmacy at Lackland AFB.

She cared and gave to others 'til her last breath.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ardath and Dennie Hager of Harlan, KY; her two sons: Michael and Dennie Scott; and her beloved husband of 42 years, James F. O'Donnell all of San Antonio.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ebert and husband, Shawn; their three boys, Jonathan, Jacob and Zachary.

The family extends their gratitude to Guiding Hospice and Halo Senior Care Services for their kindness and caring toward Rita.

The family invites you to join them for a visitation on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 7:00pm – 9:00 pm at Porter Loring.

On Thursday, April 28th at 10:30 AM, a Graveside Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please consider a donation to your favorite charity in Rita's name.
