Robert Allen Anderson

Robert (Andy) Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 77 with his wife by his side. Andy was born in Joplin, Missouri on February 5, 1945 to father Marvin L. Anderson, and mother, Virginia J. Anderson. After high school graduation in 1964, he enlisted in the Air Force and completed his service in 1972. During his tenure in the military, he was stationed in Germany and enjoyed travel throughout several countries in Europe before returning to San Antonio. Andy loved all kinds of music, especially jazz, and played keyboard in various types of bands in and around San Antonio for many years. He also taught music to students, young and old. An avid animal lover, Andy always had a four legged "fur" baby by his side. His favorite pass time was riding his Harley Davidson in the Texas Hill Country, and he found peace riding down a long stretch of empty road. Andy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Jody, of 49 years, two children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous cousins. A private graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of San Antonio, Texas.
