Robert H. Barnes III departed this earth on November 16, 2002 at the age of 78 to join his beloved wife Dorothy and son, Robert H. IV. He was born in Cuero, Texas on October 10, 1924, the first child of Irene J. and Robert H. Barnes II, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his stepfather, Leon F. Eilert and sister, Ann L. Barnes Benfer. Bob was an avid camper and fisherman and relished the times he spent on the coast at Copano Bay in Rockport, Texas. He was a master cabinetmaker, a long-time employee of Cameron Fixtures. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by a sister, Doreen F. Barnes of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, James M. Barnes and wife, Lynn of Elmendorf, Texas, Terry C. Barnes and wife, Carolyn of Austin, Texas, Jerry N. Barnes and wife, Bonnie of Bulverde, Texas; and a long-time friend and caregiver, Mario Aguirre of Nueva Rosita, Mexico.
