Walker was a Fighting Texas Aggie, Class of '06. He was to graduate in December, with an honors degree in Biology and will be awarded his BS in Biology by A&M posthumously. Walker's dream was to be a doctor and he had been invited to interview at 5 medical schools.
Walker's achievements in 23 years were extraordinary. He graduated #1 in his class at Churchill in '02. He played wide receiver, #28 and the Charger Football Team is dedicating this season to Walker. He was selected as "Best All Around" his senior year and was in PALS, served on the Winners Circle Advisory Board, and Parliament. He followed his brother Lane to A&M and was in Fish Aides his freshman year.
Walker became involved in Young Life in high school and continued to follow his joy in Christ and was active in several Christian organizations at A&M. He found his place in the Aggie Men's Club, a group of like minded Christian young men, who in their quiet way accomplish a lot on and off campus. He received the Aggie Men's Club Outstanding Student Athlete Award in '06. Walker loved his Aggie friends as well as his classmates from Churchill.
Walker received numerous scholarships for his outstanding academic achievements. He found the love of his life, Cara Cunningham, while there. Walker's accomplishments were many, but he will be remembered for his selfless love for God and others. His kindness and compassion were beyond his years. Walker's impact on the world and those who loved him are the true measures of a man. His friends and family will miss him but know Walker is looking down on all of us with his instant smile still warming our hearts.
