'I will never forget all the trouble Robert and Walker got into. They were deviants together but nonetheless Walker's undeniable love for life was contagious. He was definitely my favorite of Robert's friends and I KNOW that if I ever needed anything from him whether that be a listening ear or anything, he would be there, because that was the kind of guy he was and always will be. That smile will never leave my mind. Despite the fact that the Stallknecht/Best family lost contact through the years, I have and will always love ya'll. So many memories between us. There is no way that our thoughts and prayers wouldn't be with you. I love you guys immensely. He is smiling down on us as we speak. Praise God for you and for Walker.'

I am a friend of Dr. Rene and Louise Sepulveda and learned of your tragic loss only yesterday. I lost my 23-year-old son in 1991 he died of a sudden heart attack - he was my only child. Losing a child is, sadly, as you now know, the hardest thing you will ever endure in a lifetime.

'Walker worked in my lab in the Biochemistry and Biophysics department at Texas A&M University during the Fall of 2005. Walker did a great job in my lab. Eventhough the experiments did not always work, he had a great attitude and a big smile. During our meetings, he often told me about his trips, including birdwatching in Costa Rico and hunting with his Dad in Argentina. I will remember Walker as an enthusiastic, caring and brilliant person. I am sorry he has left us. I will never forget him.'
