Bob was a wonderful friend to me and my family for many years. To me he exemplified the phrase "humble Christian servant leader" in everything he did, be it in his law practice, his many hours of labor for AHUMC, or his interactions with others. Truly, he exhibited unconditional lover for everyone. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Nora, Christopher,  Matthew, & Michael —  I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved dad/husband. I remember your entire family very fondly from my days at AHUMC on Broadway and then over on Basse. I remember babysitting you all too.  I now live in Palo Alto, CA with my own 2 boys who are 17 and 10. We have kept up with your family via my mom, Linda, and she had shared of Bob’s illness and also his passing. I am grateful for the life of service Bob lead and I wish you all peace as you grieve and remember all the good times you all had as a family. All my best, Kathy Howe

My deepest condolences to Nora and the whole family. We met Bob and Nora 6 years ago when they moved next door. Bob was a very special neighbor: he was kind, cheerful and had a great sense of humor. We were moved yesterday at his funeral service.He was well loved and respected by so many.

Bob was a loyal friend, competent at his work, devoted to his family, and a man of integrity. A joker at times, he enjoyed experiencing the humor in life's situations. He was a true follower of Christ, his Savior. I enjoyed sitting with him at the Sunday morning worship services at our church while Nora was providing communion services across the street at the Forum, a senior community. His grandchildren provided such joy in his life. Heaven has gained a new angel (perhaps with a lop-sided halo due to the pranks he may pull even there)! Bob will be included in the "good memories" section of my heart.

Bob was a special friend.  We served together on the Boards at TMF  and Southwestern University.  He was  a great and productive Trustee.  I admired him very much and always enjoyed being with him.  Sorry to see him depart at this early age.  I am now one of the few remaining Emeritus Trustees at TMF!  Rest in peace. Jim Walzel

I knew Bob for over 20 years as a fellow trial attorney.  We were on opposite sides of cases and I found him to be an excellent attorney, who was always ethical in his trial practice. I knew Bob over 50 years ago as a classmate at Northeastern State University  in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Bob and I lived on the same dormitory floor for a couple of years. He was a nationally recognized debater which prepared him for a great career in law. My condolences to the family.

Kathy and I are so sorry to hear the sad news of Bob's passing. He was unselfish in the giving of time, expertise, energy and talent to KIPP Public Schools for so many years. Not only did the chair the most informative and pleasant board meetings, he did it with a wise, calm, fun and caring demeanor. Often, he brought the most wonderful cookies to the meetings freshly baked from Nora's kitchen, which were the best in the world! Our love to Nora and all his family and friends. We will all miss this amazing man!
