Robert "Bob" Brown was born in New York City to Robert and Dorothy Brown on January 16, 1930. He passed away peacefully on September 9, 2017 surrounded by his closest family. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Angelika Jansen, his first wife Barbara Halston, her and Bob's son Steven Brown and stepson Ingmar Jansen.
As a dyed in the wool New Yorker, he spent his formative years in the city, where he attended high school and college. Through the years Bob created a reputation for his financial acumen in the greater New York area. This and his brilliant wit and "out of the box" thinking in business and personal matters made him into a great friend and business colleague. Bob's lengthy corporate financial career included leading positions at Nikon, Books for Libraries, Seatrain, and for the City of Valdez in Alaska.
Bob and Angelika moved to San Antonio in 1987 when he was appointed Senior VP of Finance at Chromalloy. He loved his new home city and made many friends here. Upon his retirement in 1998 he continued as a financial adviser.
For his service in the Korean War he was awarded a Bronze Star. Bob will be buried at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery with military honors on Friday, September 29th, at 10:45am.
