He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He married Louise Wilson on December 21, 1945. She preceded him in death in 1994.
Bob worked as a professional engineer in the states of Maryland and Texas. During his time with the Texas Highway Department, he was involved in the design of I-10 through Boerne.
He is survived by his son, Robert Coffey and wife Pat of Magnolia; daughters, Joan Williams and husband Roger of Seguin, and Charlene Jones and husband Stanley of Bergheim; son, Dan Coffey and wife Candace of Burleson; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim Coffey, Gary Coffey and Jerome Coffey; and sister, Phyllis Anders. Pallbearers will be Rob Coffey, Roger Williams, Lt. Jesse Jones, Daniel Coffey, David Coffey and David Dilling. The family would like to expres their special thanks to Frank and Elizabeth DeLaRosa for their support and care during Bob's illiness.
