Dr. Dale was one of my favorite professors in dental school. I admired his dental knowledge and skill. He once helped me with a very difficult extraction in dental school and he never belittled me. He was a good man and mentor. I will never forget him.

Dr. Dale was my co-team leader this year in senior clinic. I was honored to have worked with him - he was a great assest to the school and to the students.

I went to highschool with Tracy. I am so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have recently lost my daughter and just know this, that happy days will come, but it will take time. I will pray for your healing.

Dearest Belinda and Family: 
We were so sorry to hear about Bob. We so enjoyed getting to know him during the 40 Days Study. Although heaven is rejoicing, there is sadness and loss here on earth. May God truly bless you all and see you through the days ahead. He is our comfort and our strength.

We love Bob and your family. This is not an easy time for you and we are hurting, too. We know that our heavenly Father's loving arms will hold you close to His heart - the same place where He is holding Bob.

Mrs. Dale and family, Your husband and father and son was one of the most incredible people that I have ever met. He was both an instructor and colleague of mine at the dental school. Dr. Dale was a wonderful professor, constantly giving of himself and his time to promote the interests of his students. He exemplified the kind of dedication to dentistry and dental education that inspires students and fellow faculty on a daily basis. He has gone to a better place but he will be sorely missed. I was saddend to read of Dr.Robert Dale's passing. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bob as a fellow student in dental school and also as a fellow instructer at the Health Science Center. My association with him was always a positive and supportive experience. A gentleman and friend that was always ready to listen and share his knowledge. His influence also extended to the direct teaching of our Son, Scott Stratemann during his dental education at San Antonio'96>'02. He will be truly missed by the dental profession and friends who had the blessing to associate with him. May God bless you and comfort your family during this time of bereavement. I regret that I only had a year and a half to know Bob but in that short time I came to know him as a real gentlemen and a truly nice man. He will missed by all who know him.

My Dental School experience with Dr. Dale was through the Dean's Office. When I heard that he was gone, my thought was that we had lost a truly wonderful, kind man. In particular, I remember his kindness when my husband died. Dr. Dale enriched the world he was in. My deepest sympathies. Marilyn

Bob was a wonderful colleague and friend. He led by example with a gracious demeanor and professionalism that was to be emulated by all. He will be missed but never forgotten!

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a dental student at UTHSCSA from 1998-2002 and a GPR resident from 2002-2004. I had the privilege to work with Dr. Dale on numerous occassions both as an undergraduate dental student and as a resident. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I credit Dr. Dale with my decision to become postgraduate faculty in the GPR program which I began just 3 wks.ago. About 1.5 years ago he aked me if I had ever thought about teaching and I replied that the thought had never crossed my mind. He answered that I should contemplate a career as a dental educator because in his opinion he thought that I would make a good teacher. I will never forget that comment. It meant so much to me considering his vast experience. He inspired the confidence in me to believe in myself and my abilities. Dr. Dale was one of the truly good guys at the dental school.Those of us who were fortunate to know him were blessed.He sincerely and skillfully passed on his knowledge and had a way of giving each student the courage and confidence needed to perform the needed procedure. After I graduated I stopped by the school on occasion and Dr. Dale always greeted me by name and was interested in how my family and practice was doing.He was a tremendous person and will be greatly missed. "Dr. Bob" was my colleague at UTHSCSA Dental School for 19+ years, and I was shocked and deeply saddened by his death. We all knew him for his friendliness, gentleness, and good nature. I especially remember that he always took time to listen. He was a true professional, and he taught me so much - I regret that I cannot be in San Antonio to personally pay tribute to someone who was so admired by all of us. Bob - we all loved you and we will miss you!
