

Robert Gamble Dunlop, born November 14, 1931 in Fall River, MA went to join his loving wife on September 25, 2014 at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gamble Sr. and Bernice Dunlop; beloved wife, Beth Dunlop; and brother, Frank Dunlop.
Robert "Bob" Dunlop was a devoted husband, to Beth Dunlop for 58 years, and loving father. Bob and Beth spent many years in the DFW area where they raised their three sons. They resided in San Antonio for many years where he was an integral part of the community. Bob worked for the Edward J. DeBartolo, Corp. during the construction and for many years following the opening of Rivercenter Mall, served in various capacities for the City of San Antonio including commissioner of the River Walk Advisory Board and member of the Paseo Del Rio Association. He was even crowned Mud King during one year's famed Mud Festival.
Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force. He earned his degree in education from Baylor University and was an avid fan of the schools sporting teams throughout his life. Bob was involved in the commercial real estate business for 20 years and was a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers holding a CMD designation.
Bob is survived by his loving family including his son, Robert M. Dunlop and wife, Laurie of North Richland Hills, TX; son, James Dunlop and wife, Cyndi of Houston, TX; son, Richard Dunlop and wife, Robbie of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Christopher Dunlop, Amy Hebert (Dunlop), Tara Brown (Dunlop), Melissa Yeshnowski (Dunlop), Matthew Dunlop, Sabrina Stinson; sister, Judy Goss; brother-in-law, Ron Hawthorne and wife, Betty Ruth; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Buttercup.
His quick wit, sense of humor and genuine love of people will be missed by all that knew him.
