Chris was one in our group of Good Old Boys.  We did things for each other just because we were Good Old Boys.  Chris was always good for his word.  Integrity.  Many things got done that way at Datapoint during the old days.  Then it started changing but Chris never did change.  He stuck to his word.

He and I did many Dove hunting trips together.  I really enjoyed those days with him and I just relaxing while hunting.  I will carry those memories with me for every.  

Will always remember Chris for his service to our country in Viet Nam

Chris and I were acquainted from afar until we bumped into each other at CHFBC, now known as Mission City Church. We shared a special friendship over the years and he will be missed.

I remember Chris from years at Castle Hills First Baptist Church. I enjoyed talking with him. A peaceful person. God bless your soul with Jesus.

My cousin Chris was a great friend and family member that I have a lot of respect for. I have many fond memories of spending time with him, his parents, and sisters at the family farm in San Antonio. May he Rest In Peace now, and I look forward to seeing him on the other side.

 I came to Datapoint in 1976 and eventually met Chris.  Being an Aggie also, we were instant buddies.  On Friday we would go to eat Mexican food with my Son, Jason.  We would go Dove hunting every season. We had some good times together.   He was a "Good old Boy" and fun to be with.  He would do anything for a friend.  

I take comfort in knowing he had a good life and is now with the Lord and is happy.  But we will all miss him and his cheerful attitude and smile.  I will be praying for his family.

I worked with Chris for 19 years at Datapoint and became great friends. He was one of the kindest and friendliest person I have ever met. He was a man of integrity and faith. My wife and I are saddened to hear if his passing. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his children and family.
We always used to end our texts and emails to each other with these words that I now extend to his family, "Yours in Christ "

Robert was one of my favorite people.  He was kind, warm, authentic and had such a beautiful soul.  I will miss him so very much.  Thoughts  and prayers to his family that he loved so much.

Chris was my best friends cousin (David Ernst). We both graduated from Southside HS. I've never met a more out spoken man than Chris. America needs more men like him. I hope his sons can fill his shoes. Love you Chris.

I knew and worked with Chris for over 40 yrs. We first worked together at Datapoint in the early 80’s, stayed in contact in life after Datapoint,,, he contacted me in 2002 looking for work, I hired him immediately at FBD, He came to China to help me start an operation in Shenzhen. We both finished our careers at FBD. Chris  was a great person and a great friend. We were often mistaken for brothers, which was a great honor for me.
Chris, my friend, you will be missed ,, see you on the factory floor on the other side.

When I started at Datapoint in 1974, Chris was the second person that I met.  From then on for the next twenty years Chris and I maintained a close relationship.  He was always someone you could count on for help or advice. Even when our careers went in different directions, he stayed in the technical side and I went to into management. I new he would be there if I needed him. After more than forty five years, his passing feels like a big part of my history has also gone but I know history does not disappear. I am going to miss him a great deal, but I am also going to remember all of the good times. Rest in peace my friend.

Chris was my boss for a while and great friend always while working at Datapoint. Always well respected and it showed well in how he treated everyone with patience and understanding. We shared a lot of time chatting when I took him to and from the airport when he visited the Ft Worth factory. He always seemed a bit unsettled by riding on the freeway next to big 18 wheelers in my little car! A huge smile, a sincere laugh and a friend to everyone. Especially me. I am blessed to have known him. I will miss him.
