After enjoying a long and fruitful life with his dearest family and loving friends, Robert John Jaeckle died on February 6, 2002. Born on February 3, 1928, Bobby was known as a player of music, a teller of jokes, and a hard working yet softhearted man. He aroused humor with his inventive taxidermy, commanded respect with his honest and forthright demeanor, and inspired compassion in all those who had the fortune to know him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a generous grandfather, and a gentle great-grandfather. His stories will be treasured, his laughter admired, and his life revered. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Bebe, his sons and daughters, Linda and Bob Weichold, Robert and Tara Jaeckle, Jr., Judy and Wayne Goertz, and Mark Jaeckle. He also leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Griffin and Nell Kennedy; and brothers-in-law, Roland Griffin, Jim Kennedy, Joe Perry, Paul Gowen, and wife Claudia; and sisters-in-law, "The Brillos." Bobby will be missed as well by his twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
