He is survived by his wife Ladelle of 57 years of marriage; daughter, Carolyn McCarty and her husband, Jim, of Slidell, LA; two grandsons: Bryan McCarty and wife, Jessica of New Orleans, LA and John McCarty of Boston, MA; his sister, Susie Owens of Chandler, TX; brother, Bill and wife, Virginia of Frankston, TX.
Robert proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Force and worked 20 years at Security Service after retirement from the Air Force.
He is also a graduate of St. Mary's University with a Master's Degree in History.
The family wishes to thank the physicians and nurses of Progressive Care, 4th Floor of St. Luke's Baptist Hospital for their excellent care in the last three days of his life.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, February 26th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
