

Robert Burnett Lee, 82, died October 26, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gladys Bondurant Lee, daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Lee Foster and Richard G. Foster; and his grandsons, Robert Evans Foster and William Bondurant Foster. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray Eaton Lee and Kathleen Burnett Lee and his brother and sister-in-law, Ray Eaton Lee, Jr., and Maria Berl Lee.
He was born on June 14, 1929 and grew up in Austin, graduating from Austin High School and The University of Texas with a degree in Business Administration. At the University, he joined the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and served as chapter president. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. Upon completion of his military service, he introduced himself to Leslie Lentz and joined Lentz, Newton & Company in San Antonio. He remained in securities work in San Antonio the rest of his career, associating with Russ & Co., EF Hutton, Rotan Mosle and Southwest Securities. He served on the boards of the Southwest School of Art and Craft and other civic organizations. A lifelong Episcopalian, he was on the vestry and senior warden of St. Francis Episcopal Church and in recent years was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He enjoyed in his leisure his memberships in the Conopus Club, the Order of the Alamo, the German Club, the San Antonio Country Club and the Argyle Club.
Bob was a Renaissance Man. Watercolors, bridge, tennis, carpentry, woodworking, sailing, world travelling, fishing, quail hunting, he did it all. Mainly, he loved life, his family and people. And they loved him back.

The family wishes to thank all of Bob's devoted physicians, the compassionate nursing staff at Methodist Hospital and his personal caregivers who greatly assisted him in his final days.
