He was the eldest of 10 children, being preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mollie Matthews, siblings Marie and Jim.
He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 3 stepsons, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bob and wife, JoAnn, were active in Hood County, TX, 17 years. He retired after 20 years service in USAF. He earned Bachelor of Science, College of Medicine, The University of Nebraska, and Master of Science from Texas Woman's University.
Serving as Physician Assistant at Lockheed-Martin 20 years, he was employed as P.A. with the V.A. and Acton Medical Clinic.
